An eclectic mix of Andalusian, Venetian, French and North African architecture and decor with Art Deco elements sets this Palm Beach, Florida home apart from its neighbors. Situated on the inter-coastal waterway, aquatic elements had to be an integral part of the design without resorting to the usual clichés.

In the Dining Room we glazed walls, trim and ceiling in multiple layers of deep blue-green hues to create a tranquil underwater atmosphere complete with shimmering seaweed faintly visible in the distance.

We finished the walls and ceilings throughout the Master Bedroom Suite in lightly-polished Venetian plaster using a palette of pale aquas, sea greens and washed turquoises.

We painted the exterior built-in cabinetry and ceiling beams on the porch to look as if it were made from driftwood and, at the request of the designer, we distressed the outside of the front door to appear as if it had been reclaimed from an old building somewhere in the Caribbean.
